Our cattle are raised here on the ranch, and rental pastures supporting other local landowners using the most humane and healthy practices we can. Our cattle are raised in a reduced-stress environment (i.e. never chased by dogs or horses, never roped or thrown to the ground, and never hauled for more than a couple hours in a trailer.)
Our cattle are handled, loved on, and inspected daily to avoid injury or health issues. Some ranchers only see their cattle once a week, a month, and sometimes only a few times per year! Not us… We love our cattle and spend the majority of our day around them. All of our cattle have individual names; yes even the steers. Allowing our cattle to live in a reduced-stress environment allows them to grow at their maximum rate and optimum beef production. Stressed animals will not grow as efficiently (where we then lose money) nor as healthy (where our customers lose quality). No one wants to lose money or quality.
JK Farming has been a cornerstone of the sustainable agricultural community since 2007. We have been breeding and raising top-end and new-aged genetics using the most sustainable practices possible. Starting out with Hereford beef cattle, adding some Hybrid-vigor genetics, then jumping into Texas Longhorns! We take great pride in our products and strive for the highest quality of products to our friends, family, and clients.
"Knowing where your food comes from, and how that product is raised and treated makes all the difference in the world."
That's where we come in!
Coming from only the finest of bloodlines, we breed and raise the best beef cattle possible. We use new genetic technologies to carefully choose precise bloodlines and characteristics that will produce efficient, reliable, and predictable results for us and our customers.
*all cattle will be brand inspected by the California Department of Food and Agriculture, State Brand Inspector, and processed at a Certified USDA Facility. No Exceptions.
